Is it possible to fly hang gliding with clouds?
Strange as it may seem, flying a hang glider on a day when the sky is in the clouds is much better than flying a hang glider with clear, cloudless sky.
The explanation is very simple, the hang glider has no motor, it is sustained by the wind and the cloud is the indication that underneath it has a vertical wind that helps and much in the support of the hang glider, making the flight last much longer .
There is the concern of not being able to see anything with the clouds, this would be true if we were to fly inside the clouds, something that does not happen, we fly below the clouds and with that we have complete visibility.
The delta flight ramp in Rio de Janeiro in São Conrado is 520 meters high, if the clouds are above this value, we can fly normally.
